Harrison Contracting Limited

Over more than two decades of steady progress, a Dargaville owned business, Harrison Contracting Limited, has proved that hard work and application to customers needs can build into a wide-ranging operation that has become a leading player in the Kaipara economy.

“We started out in business 25 years ago with just one digger, now the company employs 15 local people plus a civil engineer. From that first digger the firms yard down Station Road in the old  Minstry of Works Depot is now the base for a wide range of specialized machinery which includes a stabilizing hoe for cement and lime stabilizing. ”

– Company director, Richard Harrison

Harrison Contracting has a mission statement that it is available for work anywhere in both the Kaipara District and wider Northland and the company can be found wherever work contracts entail roading on civil construction, forestry projects, sub-divisions, driveways to a wide range of farming jobs. We have a full workshop available with diesel mechanic and a certified welder-engineer on staff, so we have the facility to carry out full servicing for trucks and trailers, and associated plant and this includes fabrication work and COF repairs. The workshop is currently servicing Firth Concrete and several other local business.

We are a company that can do all aspects of the job from farmers – drain cleaning, race work, lime stone, metal, fertilizer and palm kernel cartage. We can construct cow underpasses, complete extensive site works and even supply and deliver household water. Harrison Contracting is contractor approved by the Kaipara District Council and provides design work and traffic management plans through to pavement construction.
